I work as a Research Associate at the University of New South Wales Sydney, Australia.
I am a biologist with research experience and skills in different fields of science. I often venture outside biological topics and data, for example, into biomedical, environmental, conservation or even social sciences. In my research I use research synthesis methods, such as systematic reviews/maps and meta-analysis. My publications include meta-analyses of maternal effects, aspects of ageing, evolution and differences between the sexes. I also contribute to methodological works addressing widespread issues in research, such as data non-independence, allometric scaling, heterogeneity, data sharing, reporting quality and research synthesis guidelines. My meta-research encompasses research recognition, transparency, equity, diversity and inclusion. Through these contributions, I aim to improve scientific practice and foster Open Science.
